2026 Winter Workshop
The 2026 MCMA Winter Workshop will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 9:00 am - 3:30 pm!
This one-day educational event for MCMA Members will be held at the Securian Financial Club at CHS Field (360 N Broadway St, St Paul, MN 55101) on Friday, January 30, 2026.

9:35 AM - Leading Through Uncertainty: Be the Leader People Want to Follow - Presented by Kit Welchlin

Being a leader has never been so difficult given the uncertainty of affordability, funding for public services, governance and security issues, federal policies, and the overall political environment. Effective leaders are communicators and build and sustain both positional and personal power.
Attendees will learn:
- the six criteria of personal credibility
- the top ten characteristics of effective leaders
- how to navigate chaos and change
- work behaviors that guarantee success
