MCMA 2024/25 Committee Charge, Issues, and Membership

MCMA has a lot of great members who work hard on our committees. That's where much of the real work gets done! If you have a passion for a particular issue and would like to join a committee, please contact it's chair.

Recognition and Membership Committee

Reviews applications for membership where there is a question of eligibility, using criteria set forth by ICMA and the MCMA Constitution (rarely happens!). Committee is also responsible for selecting the annual winner of the Dr. Robert A. Barrett Management Achievement Award. Committee has also taken responsibility for overseeing the managers in transition program.

Chaired by the 1st Vice President. Must also include an active past president (not the immediate) and three members who have never served as officers, one of which must have less than five years of experience.
Chaired by 1st Vice President – Jackie Schulze, Assistant City Administrator, Waconia
